New Ownership For Sakata Ornamentals UK
Sakata is selling its stake in Sakata Ornamentals UK to a new ownership group.
By August 1, a new young plant production company, Early Ornamentals, will form as the former Sakata Ornamentals UK in the United Kingdom. Simon Early is the current managing director of Sakata Ornamentals UK, and he'll act as owner of the new production company.
Production operations will continue at the Thirsk, U.K. facilities, and Sakata's genetics will continue to be a significant element of the young plant assortment for Early Ornamentals.
The deal enables Sakata to focus on its core business of breeding and marketing genetics. The young plant production team at Early will continue to market and supply quality young plants. Seed distribution of Sakata genetics will continue through Early.
