A global consolidation wave hit the cuttings side of our industry last week when Syngenta annouced it is acquiring the Fischer group for $67 million. With $8.1 billion in sales, Syngenta is a giant in world agriculture in agronomic markets, as well as horticulture and floriculture, specializing in crop protection and seed.
