The new Toronto-based Lowe's Cos. Canada opened its first three stores in the Greater Toronto area on Monday. The stores are in South Brampton, Brantford and Hamilton. Three more stores are slated to open Feb. 1 in East Gwillimbury, North Brampton and Toronto, according to Display & Design Ideas magazine. A seventh will open soon after that in Maple.

Lowe's has more than 15 additional Canadian sites in the pipeline in various stages of development with a long-term vision to have as many as 100 stores, the magazine reports.
