A tornado ripped through the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) on the campus of Ohio State University in Wooster last Thursday, flattening one greenhouse and damaging others.

One student suffered injuries, but most of the 400 or so faculty and staff at the facility had already left before the storm arrived.

OARDC spokesman Mauricio Espinoza told the Akron Beacon Journal that half of the three-story Agricultural Engineering Building was flattened.

Photos of the damage, including a car blown over from a parking lot that rests in front of a research greenhouse, can be seen at Ohio.com.

I went on a weekend vacation the the nearby Sugarcreek area, and there was quite a bit of damage throughout the area. My thoughts and prayers are with the folks that lost homes in the region.
