The two companies are now one - Jackson Perkins Park Acquisition - following private equity firm Blackstreet Capital's purchase of them last week.
The industry companies forever known as Jackson & Perkins and Park Seed are now one company, Jackson Perkins Park Acquisition (JPPA), following the private equity firm Blackstreet Capital's $12.8 million purchase of them last week.
Both companies will be headquartered in Greenwood, S.C., where Park Seed has a long history and to which Jackson & Perkins moved in 2007. Park Seed purchased Jackson & Perkins in 2007.
"Everything is under one ownership now," says Steve Winterfeldt, a horticulturist at JPPA. "Things worked out very well and we're going to stay right here in South Carolina."
"We all feel very positive. We love what we do. We are reorganized, energized and we are going to have the funds and resources to really improve our offerings."
IAM VERY HAPPY TO HERE THE NEWS.BUT SAD TO SEE THAT NOT ONE NEW ROSE MADE THE ARS MAGAZINE.
I have been a fan of Park Seed for years, visiting their gardens in SC almost every year. They were the first to offer unique items in the past, which hooked me on them. I sincerely wish you all the best!
