The topic of this year’s Seeley Conference will be “Profit Squeeze: Is Differentiation the Solution?” June 21-24 at Cornell University. This annual summit is considered floriculture’s think tank.
James Russo of TSN Retail Forward will share Retail Forward’s views of the future of retail as released with updates and a focus on floriculture in its “Retail 2015” report. Charles Hall, Ellison Chair in International Floriculture at Texas A&M University, will lead presentations on the value of differentiation, and Bell Nursery’s Gary Mangum and Minter Country Garden’s Brian Minter will lead discussions on examples of differentiation.
The conference will also explore the value of sustainability as a component of differentiation, focusing on practices that work and practices that might be in our future.
Each participant of the 2008 Seeley Conference will be mailed a copy of SAF's “The Changing Floriculture Industry” report in advance to allow time for review. For more information or to register for the Seeley Conference, go to www.hort.cornell.edu/seeleyconference.
