Despite an expected announcement that sales are trending slighly below expectations, Lowe's is continuing to expand its presence across the continent into Canada.

The chain's first three Canadian locations - Brantford, Hamilton and Brampton - are scheduled for December openings. Three more locations, including one in Toronto, are expected to open their doors to shoppers by the end of January.

A spokesman says the company has 18 additional sites in the pipeline and expexts to see as many as 100 Lowe's stores in Canada over time.
