Raker Trial Gardens Opening Soon For Summer

The Raker Trial Gardens, which cover more than four acres in Litchfield, Mich., will be opening July 13. C. Raker & Sons uses the trial gardens to evaluate new varieties in side-by-side comparison trials to research existing varieties and share the data it gathers from horticulture professionals and the gardening public. Trial data is gathered every two weeks beginning early July and is uploaded immediately to the trial garden website. Data collection generally includes height, spread an overall performance rating and images.
