BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals has promoted Bob York to senior marketing manager.
"Bob successfully blends hands-on field experience and deep industry knowledge with a passion for end-user feedback," says Brian Lish, BASF business manager. "Under his customer-centric marketing leadership, BASF has developed programs, including the industry's simplest early-order program, and marketed products that meet the needs of turf professionals, as well as nursery and greenhouse growers."
In his role as senior marketing manager, York will lead the turf and ornamentals marketing strategy, as well as planning and program development, financial forecasting and collaboration with manufacturing, regulatory and biology, formulation, and product labeling groups.
York started at BASF in 2002 as a senior sales specialist for the Northeastern United States territory and moved into a marketing role in 2005. Prior to working at BASF, York held positions at ProSource One and Novartis (formerly Ciba-Geigy).
