Leucanthemum xsuperbum 'Freak!' Picks Up The 2012 Medal Of Excellence Reader's Choice Award
The Medal Of Excellence awards were handed out during Greenhouse Grower's Evening Of Excellence at OFA Short Course.
The winner of the Reader's Choice Medal of Excellence Award is Leucanthemum 'Freak!' 'Freak!' is covered with long blooming, 2- to 2.5-inch white flowers. A key feature is that ‘Freak!’ can be programmed for weekly flowering over a long sales period, as early as Easter. First-year flowering.
Compact, well-branched plants are 9-inches tall in containers, growing to 13 inches tall by 21 inches wide in the garden. No pinching is required. Production time is 7 to 9 weeks. USDA Hardiness Zones 5 to 8; Heat Zones 8 to 1.
