Who will be Greenhouse Grower’s next Operation of the Year and Head Grower of the Year? You can help us decide by nominating a deserving grower or operation.
November 8, 2012
Greenhouse Grower is proud to recognize outstanding greenhouse operations and excellent head growers with its Grower of the Year award program. We have been honoring the dedication and leadership of top growers and operators for 28 years, and the list of winners of the Grower of the Year award includes many top names in our industry. Recognition of outstanding business and growing practices not only honors the recipient, but also serves to inspire others.
The Grower of the Year program encompasses two distinct awards: Operation of the Year and Head Grower of the Year. We are now accepting nominations for both awards, which will be presented in July at the OFA Short Course. We encourage you to nominate your colleagues who exemplify best practices in quality and leadership.
The winner of the Operation of the Year will demonstrate high-quality production practices, innovative marketing, have excellent customer service, search out and embrace new technology and show community and industry leadership.
Nominees for Head Grower of the Year should also exemplify modern, high-quality production practices, embrace technology and innovation, be able to motivate and educate their staffs, make valuable contributions to the operation’s management team and be actively engaged in the industry.
Nominations for both awards can be submitted by visiting GreenhouseGrower.com/nominate. Submissions will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. There is no limit on the number of nominations you can make.
Once the nomination period has passed, a panel that includes past winners of the awards and other industry experts will choose one recipient for each respective award.
