Hines, which operates a nursery in Forest Grove, Ore., notified city, county and state officials of impending layoffs. The company filed a WARN notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act) on Jan. 6.
Hines, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last fall, indicates layoffs will likely occur between March 8 and 22.
