Product Showcase: Met52 Granular

Met52 Granular, a bio-insecticide from Novozymes, provides plant protection and control of black vine weevil (BVW) for nursery and greenhouse growers of ornamental tree crops, perennials and potted plants. Met52 Granular is based on the beneficial fungus Metarhizium anisopliae strain F52. One application of Met52 provides protection for two egg-laying seasons.

Additionally, Met52 is a soil-applied contact bio-insecticide that does not require ingestion. Met52 fungal spores attach to BVW exoskeletons, germinate and then penetrate, allowing rapid growth of fungi that kills grubs internally.
