Conrad Fafard Expands Peat Supply

FPM Peat Moss Company Ltd., a wholly-owned Canadian subsidiary of Conrad Fafard Inc. in Greensboro, N.C., purchased peat quarry leases from Gromore International Corp. in Manitoba on Feb. 21. The acquisition will allow Conrad Fafard to expand its reserves and capacity beyond existing supplies in New Brunswick and open up access to U.S. markets west of the Mississippi River. This peat will also supply a new Conrad Fafard blending facility in Marshall, Texas, which began operations in January.
