Millstadt Young Plants Now An Independent Root-And-Sell Propagator

Avoiding Rookie Mistakes With PGRsBeginning with the 2014-2015 season, Illinois-based Millstadt Young Plants will operate as an independent root-and-sell propagation facility. This follows 13 years serving as a contracted rooting station with Fischer USA/Syngenta Flowers.

For greenhouse grower customers, orders should still be placed through their preferred broker. Millstadt will communicate program details and ordering logistics to each of its broker partners soon.

Millstadt will carry all of the Syngenta genetics for the upcoming season and plans to extend its offering of some Selecta genetics to the assortment, as well.

“We’re really excited about this change to our programs,” says Millstadt Young Plants Director Amy Morris. “We have enjoyed our partnership with Syngenta Flowers but feel that by working more independently we will be able to have more control over the assortment and availability that we offer to our customers. Customers can look forward to working directly with us and receiving the same exceptional quality that they are used to receiving from our facility.”

Millstadt Young Plants is located just outside of St. Louis, Missouri in Millstadt, Illinois and has state-of-the-art greenhouses and an environmentally controlled packing room. Its newly completed propagation facility includes booms, elevated rolling tables and computer-controlled environments.
