Andropogon ‘Rain Dance,’ from Emerald Coast Growers
One of the new options for varieties featured at Cultivate’15 was Sporticulture, winner of the 2015 Fresh Ideas Award. Sporticulture offers access to major sports leagues’ licensed products and packing. Team logos can appear on containers and tags, allowing growers and retailers to benefit from the loyalty customers have for their favorite team.

Emerald Coast Growers featured its Marsala-toned plants, as a nod to Pantone’s Color of the Year. The collection included Pennisetum messiacum ‘Red Buttons,’ Pennisetum ‘Rubrum and ‘Eaton Canyon,’ Andropogon gerardii ‘Rain Dance’ and ‘Red October,’ Pennisetum alopecuroides ‘Red Head’ and Sedum ‘Desert Red.’
