OMRI Announces New Board Members
August 15, 2011 The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) has appointed Tina Ellor, Gwendolyn Wyard, and Paul Sachs to the OMRI Board of Directors.
Ellor is the longtime technical director at Phillips Mushroom Farm. She is also a current member and former crops committee chair of the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB).
Wyard recently became the associate director of organic standards and industry outreach at the Organic Trade Association. She is also a member of the Accredited Certifiers Association board of directors. Wyard previously worked for seven years with Oregon Tilth Certified Organic.
Sachs is the founder and owner of North Country Organics, a Vermont manufacturer of fertilizers, soil amendments and pest control products. He is a published author and lecturer on a number of topics related to ecological management of plants and soil.
