Second Annual GreenhouseConnect Will Bring Growers and Suppliers Together in San Diego This October

IMG_3459Following a successful inaugural event in Tampa last fall, Greenhouse Grower has announced the dates of its second annual GreenhouseConnect: October 26-29, 2015. Representatives from an expected two dozen leading greenhouse operations from across the U.S. will join senior-level suppliers at Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego for several days of one-on-one strategic meetings, a growers-only roundtable, informational sessions and a variety of networking events.

“The growers and suppliers who participated in our Tampa event were delighted to have the opportunity to talk through new solutions for increasing grower efficiency, productivity and profitability,” says George Casey, group publisher of Meister Mediaʼs Ornamental Group, which includes Greenhouse Grower and Todayʼs Garden Center magazines. “GreenhouseConnect offers participants uninterrupted face time that might otherwise be difficult to arrange.”

In 2014, the growers represented more than 37 million square feet of covered acreage and more than 140 outdoor acres.

Greenhouse Grower Editor Laura Drotleff adds that the 2015 event will include more opportunities for grower-to-grower networking and best-practice sharing.

“The 2014 grower panel discussion was extremely popular, so we are providing more occasions for peer-to-peer interaction,” she says. Drotleff says an announcement will be made soon about GreenhouseConnect speakers and program content.

For now, growers and suppliers look forward to spending productive days at Rancho Bernardo Inn, named among Travel & Leisure’s 2014 World’s Best Hotels and Condé Nast Traveler’s 2013 Top Spas. They value the opportunity to meet face-to-face, away from the distractions of their offices, to discuss strategies that will strengthen their businesses for the short and long term.
