Nursery Theft Results In $15,000 Loss

The Buffalo News reports as much as $15,000 in cash was taken from the offices of Wolf Nursery in New York over the weekend. The cash had been earmarked for employee holiday bonuses, and an employee is being investigated for possible involvement.

Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said someone pried open an office door late Friday or early Saturday, then pried open a locked filing cabinet. Between $10,000 and $15,000 in cash was removed from the cabinet.

The business owner told deputies the money accumulates over the course of the year before being dispersed to employees at the holidays.
