Growers and other horticulture industry members looking for the latest information on greenhouse lighting had a chance to take home some free knowledge from Cultivate’17.
Each day during Cultivate’17, the Greenhouse Grower/Meister Media Worldwide booth gave away one copy of “Light Management in Controlled Environments.” “Light Management in Controlled Environments” brings together the latest findings from scientific studies geared toward advancing the science and application of lighting for specialty crop production. Editors Dr. Erik Runkle and Dr. Roberto Lopez of Michigan State University, along with 19 other leading plant scientists from around the globe, discuss technology options for shade and lighting, including the latest developments in greenhouse and sole-source lighting.
All winners were selected a half hour before the end of the show each day. Congratulations to the following individuals who won a copy of the book!
• Michael Martin, a Horticulture Research Specialist at the University of Georgia
• Greg Vite of Vite Greenhouses, a Niles, MI-based retail garden center
• Nancy Hasting of Hasting Plants, a seasonal greenhouse operation in Mt. Vernon, IN, specializing in annual and perennial varieties.
