Adenium

‘Hot Pink’ is a special hybrid selection of adenium from Oglesby Plants International that is very vigorous, free branching and from a liner can produce a flowering 6-inch pot in 16 weeks. Produced from virus-tested stock to promote crop consistency and disease resistance.

Ajuga
Ajuga reptans ‘Black Scallop’ from Plant Haven has elegantly scalloped, glossy foliage in midnight black. It is a vision in patio pots and combos with small, intense deep blue flower spikes and grows 4 to 6 inches tall. Available from McGregor Plant Sales.

Alternanthera
‘Brazilian Red Hots’ alternanthera from GroLink is truly hot. An upright grower reaching 18 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches in spread, ‘Brazilian Red Hots’ is ideal for combination planters and the landscape.

‘Partytime’ from ItSaul Plants is a striking foliage plant with small, bright green leaves, broken up by dazzling reddish variegation. It has a strong mounding habit and leaves mimic the shape of a poinsettia. Available from McGregor Plant Sales.

Anthurium
‘Pink Passion’ features rich pink anthurium flowers above dark green, disease-resistant foliage. From Oglesby Plants International’s in-house breeding program, ‘Pink Passion,’ is suitable for 6-, 8- and 10-inch containers.

Asplenium
Thick, shiny leaves make Asplenium difforme ‘Austral Gem,’ from Casa Flora, perfect for high-traffic areas. The waxy fronds do not shed and are perfect indoors.

Cholorophytum
The most striking feature of ‘Green-Orange’ from ForemostCo is its bright orange stalks. They give the plant its extraordinary appearance. ‘Green-Orange’ is easy for consumers to keep and maintain, and is great for patios.

Coleus
From Terra Nova, coleus ‘Burnt Sienna’ adds a splash of color with an upright, mounding habit of green and red laced, arrow-shaped leaves, finished with gold edges and a red heart. ‘Burnt Sienna’ is available through McGregor Plant Sales.

Dieffenbachia
‘Sparkles’ is a patented variety of dieffenbachia from ForemostCo, developed by the University of Florida Tissue Culture Research Station in Apopka, Fla. ‘Sparkles’ suckers and fills the pot well and features creamy white variegation with swatches of green.

Duranta
