Registration recently opened for the 2016 Farwest Show, which will take place Aug. 25-27 in Portland, OR. Registration — with early-bird discounts and reduced rates — is being offered on hotels, Expo passes, tours, and education.
Farwest is the industry’s premier West Coast trade show gathering, with attendees and exhibitors from around the world. This year will showcase more than 400 exhibitors, with more than 6,000 expected attendees. Area nursery and retail tours kick off the event on Wednesday, Aug. 24, with the trade show Expo open Aug. 25-27.
Experts from all segments of the industry will deliver 80 educational sessions, including more than 40 hours of seminars and 45 mini-seminars that will take place on the show floor at the Solution Center for Growers and the Idea Center for Retailers.
Once again, the New Varieties Showcase, Growers Showcase, and the New Products Showcase will preview the best new offerings in plants and hard goods for 2016 and 2017. There will also be networking opportunities every day with industry professionals and leaders.
This year’s Keynote Address will be delivered by Dr. Charlie Hall of Texas A&M University, and it is free to all registrants.
“We’re excited to open registration for attendees and exhibitors for this year’s show,” says Allan Niemi, Director of Events for the Oregon Association of Nurseries.
“Farwest is one of the industry’s most important annual gatherings and 2016 promises to be exciting and informative for everyone that participates.”
