“This year’s awards will set a milestone for the fund, as we cross the half-million dollar mark in total scholarship awarded since the fund was established,” says Danny Summers, Executive Vice President of the fund. “We are very proud of our accomplishment in building the fund over the past 28 years, and we want to express our appreciation to everyone who has helped build this important funding program for our students. The ability to make this level of awards over the years, as we built the endowment fund that now stands at more than $800,000, is quite an accomplishment and a tribute to the many Southern Nursery Association members, exhibitors, and industry individuals who made contributions to help build the fund and award our students.”

Created in 1989 by the Southern Nursery Association (SNA), the Sidney B. Meadows Scholarship Endowment Fund is a 501 (c) 3 charitable foundation providing academic scholarships to horticulture students in the 16 southeastern states within the SNA region.
