GrowIt! Mobile App Now Available For Android

The mobile app GrowIt! Garden Socially can now be used by gardeners with Android-based smartphones. Now available on the Google Play Market, GrowIt! helps users find plants to fit their lifestyle and connect them with other local gardeners.

In addition, the co-founders and their programmers, Eight Bit Studios, announced a version update with enhanced profile and search features. Now gardeners can search for specific plants, browse fellow GrowIt! users’ profiles and provide open commentary, including hashtag functions. In this latest version, GrowIt! profiles can include a picture and brief biography, and garden center businesses can provide contact information to provide retail service.

“Growing our platform to include Android users further extends excitement and participation for GrowIt!,” says Mason Day, the app’s co-founder. “Now even more gardeners can participate, plus the added profile and social features will provide easier access to fellow users eager for local plant information.”

The GrowIt! Garden Socially app uses geolocation and user ratings to help gardeners discover flowers, vegetables and herbs that work in their areas for the best chance of success. GrowIt! engages the next generation of gardeners, while offering experienced gardeners a chance to share their knowledge.
