How You Can Help Berger in Donating to Hurricane Harvey Victims (While Learning More About Plant Production)

Berger-EquipmentThanksgiving is a great time to help those less fortunate. This year, Berger, a producer of growing media, is stepping up to the plate, with a dual purpose of also providing free grower education.

In recent years, Berger has compiled some of its company’s expertise into 14 technical guides covering diverse horticultural topics such as wood fiber, soil pH, and tomato growing. These downloadable training guides for the greenhouse grower community are always available free on the company website.

For Thanksgiving, Berger is going the extra mile. For every guide downloaded between November 23-27, one dollar will be donated to charities vetted by CNN’s Impact Your World campaign that are helping Hurricane Harvey victims. One of Berger’s manufacturing plants is in North Texas, and although the area was not affected by the hurricane, the company leadership was deeply concerned by the extent of the disaster and the distress of Texas residents and wanted to do something to help.

“We want to make a double gift this Thanksgiving by helping the community recover after this natural disaster, while also highlighting the knowledge we share in our technical guides,” says Elizabeth Raymond, Advertising and Promotion Supervisor at Berger.
