IHA Hires Managing Director

Integrated Horticultural Alliance (IHA), the independent organization formed earlier this year by BWI Companies, Griffin Greenhouse and Nursery Supplies and BFG Supply Co., has hired Joe Farinacci as managing director.

Farinacci has more than 11 years of purchasing and operations experience in wholesale distribution. He previously held positions with US Garden Sales in the lawn and garden industry.

As IHA managing director, he’ll lead its effort to improve service within the supply chain, reduce costs and add value to growers.

“I am excited to once again be a part of the horticulture industry,” Farinacci says. “In today’s ever changing business world, partnerships between distributors and manufacturers are essential for success. By partnering with IHA, manufacturers will develop a better understanding of the needs of the customer.”

Greenhouse Grower Editor Delilah Onofrey thinks the formation of IHA is a significant industry development, and she wrote about it in her June column, “Cultivating Common Ground.” Read Delilah’s column here.
