The 56th annual meet for the International Plant Propagators’ Society (IPPS) Western Region has been set for September 23 to 26 in Modesto, Calif.
The meeting, which will be at Modesto’s Doubletree Plaza Hotel, will kick off with a full day of pre-conference tours to local nurseries, followed by a reception, silent auction, research poster display and trade exhibition. Subsequent days will offer a mix of local industry tours, learning sessions, poster presentations and networking opportunities. The event will close out with an awards banquet and new plant introductions.
“This location is enriched with agriculture, providing ample opportunity for conference attendees to share knowledge and learn from local tours,” says Dr. Dharam P. Sharma, conference organizer. “Stanislaus County boasts a $13 billion agriculture economy, exporting worldwide to 130 countries.”
