Meet The Three Young Go-Getters Who Created Gotham Greens

Get to know the three young founders who have made Gotham Greens what it is today.

Viraj Puri, CEO and Co-founder, has developed and managed start-up enterprises in New York City, Ladakh, India and Malawi, Africa, focusing on green-building, renewable energy and environmental design. He worked at New York Sun Works, an environmental engineering firm, and authored several publications. He has received fellowships from the TED conference (see his TED Talk here) and the Wild Gift, and is a LEED Accredited Professional, and received a B.A. from Colgate University.

Eric Haley, Co-Founder and CFO, oversees all financial operations for Gotham Greens and focuses on financial strategy and planning. He has more than 10 years of experience in finance, specializing in M&A, capital raising and strategic consulting. Haley worked at Corporate Fuel Partners, a Manhattan-based investment bank and private equity fund and JP Morgan Chase. He has a B.S. from the University of Wyoming and an M.B.A. from University of Notre Dame.

Jennifer Nelkin Frymark, chief agriculture officer, heads greenhouse operation. She developed her expertise in greenhouse systems and management at the Controlled Environment Agriculture Center at the University of Arizona, where she received her M.S. in plant sciences, and holds a B.S. in plant biology from Arizona State University. She managed greenhouses in Antarctica, providing fresh vegetables for U.S. research scientists. She worked at the greenhouse at the Cuisinart Resort and Spa in Anguilla, and at New York Sun Works, where she designed and directed operations of the Science Barge greenhouse. She recently received accolades as a woman greening food from the Audubon Society at the 2014 Rachel Carson Awards.
