Myers Industries, Inc. Lawn And Garden Business Sold, Named The HC Companies

myers industries Lawn and Garden LogoThe management of Myers Lawn and Garden Group, along with Wingate Partners V, L.P. have recently acquired the Myers Industries, Inc. Lawn and Garden business.

The new company is named The HC Companies, and will continue as a North American leading provider of horticulture containers supplying the greenhouse, nursery and retail markets under the brand names Dillen, ITML, ProCal, Listo, Akro-Mils Lawn & Garden and Planters’ Pride.

Myers Industries announced its intent to sell the Lawn and Garden business in June of 2014 and announced a definitive agreement with Wingate Partners in January 2015.

Wingate Partners, a Dallas, Texas-based private equity firm, was founded in 1987 to purchase controlling equity investments in manufacturing, distribution and services businesses. The acquisition of the Lawn and Garden business includes manufacturing facilities and offices located in Twinsburg and Middlefield, Ohio; Sparks, Nev.; Sebring, Fla; and Brantford and Burlington, Ont.
