Anna Ball To Speak At Texas A&M

Where is our industry heading? Gain a global perspective from Ball Horticultural Co.’s President and CEO Anna Ball, who will be speaking at Texas A&M University on Oct. 10.

This lecture series is part of the Ellison Chair in International Floriculture in the Department of Horticultural Sciences at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. The program will begin at 2:30 p.m. with a reception followed by the presentation at 3 p.m. in Room 104 Horticulture in the Forest Science Building.

Headquartered in West Chicago, Ill., Ball Horticultural Co. specializes in all aspects of horticulture, including breeding, biotechnology, production and marketing of hybrid flower seeds and other floriculture crops. Privately held and now in its third generation of family management, the company has a presence in more than 20 locations worldwide.

Ball received here bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and MBA from Northwestern University. She currently serves as a member of The Committee of 200 and The Chicago Network. She is a trustee for The Morton Arboretum, Thomas Jefferson School, the DuPage Community Foundation and DuPage Biz. Ball also is a director of the board of the Ball Foundation, a 30-year-old research institute with a mission to help individuals and organizations recognize and develop human potential and to engage in education reform.
