OFA Short Course abounds in sights and sounds, from amazing plants to steel drum bands. Tours of greenhouses and gardens added to the visual overload. We could fill most of an issue with favorites, but since that’s not an option, we chose a few highlights.

BASF pitted the gardening trade magazine editors against each other in the Pyramid Game, which raised more than $8,000 for charity. GG was represented by Editor Robin Siktberg and Bob West, director of interactive sales.

The Bloomin’ Bus at Meadow View Growers in New Carlisle, Ohio caught everyone’s attention. And yes, it does work; not only did we get to ride it, it’s used in community parades.
Burpee’s Grow Anywhere Food Truck
The Burpee Home Gardens Grow Anywhere Tour van will be visiting 25 cities, sharing healthy food, plants and easy gardening ideas across the country. The goal is to give away 39,000 pounds of fresh vegetables and 13,000 vegetable plants to people living in “food deserts,” where fresh food can be hard to find.
