Harvest Automation And SBI Software Announce Partnership

Harvest robot in actionHarvest Automation Inc. and SBI Software will partner to connect Harvest Knowledge robot data systems with the SBI Grower ERP package to develop integrated production optimization tools.

New in 2014, Harvest Automation’s Harvest Knowledge system is a cloud-based data collection system that will allow robots to link the work being performed by Harvest Automation’s HV-100 plant-moving robots, to the fields and plants they are working with. Harvest Knowledge will report this information back to growers and production planners to provide a comprehensive view of the work robots have completed.

SBI Software’s comprehensive ERP system will help these cloud-based, information-capturing robots to automatically drive reported inventory and production tasks from the robots to SBI Software. This process will allow growers and production planners to dramatically reduce human error and time spent manually adjusting inventory in the field and their inventory management software.

This collaboration will create a seamless connection between Harvest Knowledge and SBI Grower Software. By linking these two systems, growers and production managers will have an unprecedented ability to plan work on their operations, getting the right work done on time, reducing re-work, eliminating waste and increasing profit margins, says John Kawola, Harvest Automation CEO.

“This partnership marks an historic convergence of mobile autonomous robots and big data for the agriculture industry,” Kawola says. “We’re delighted to be working with SBI Software to bring these capabilities to our customers.”
