National Floriculture Forum 2014 Planned For May 13-14, 2014, In Winnipeg, Manitoba

Be sure to pack plenty of layers if you plan to attend the 2014 National Floriculture Forum (NFF). The meeting will be held May 13-14, 2014, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

NFF is an educational meeting of university professors, Extension specialists and educators, graduate students, government scientists and industry leaders in floriculture that has been held annually for more than a decade. This meeting brings together the floriculture community to address issues of importance to the industry, form collaborative relationships and learn through tours and connecting with each other.

The first day of this year’s forum will consist of update presentations by participants. Each organization, school or company attending will be provided with the opportunity to deliver a 15-minute presentation. Additionally, the forum will host a graduate student poster competition.

The second day will feature a tour to a commercial peat bog and processing facility, as well as a restored bog. Attendees will also visit an indoor mushroom production facility and a greenhouse vegetable grower.

As in years past, sponsorship is needed for this year’s event. Suggested sponsorship levels are:

  • $ 250 Silver
  • $ 500 Gold
  • $ 1,000 Platinum
  • $ 500 Graduate Student Travel Grant

Additional sponsorship opportunities exist in supporting the tour bus, lunches and snacks, as well as coffee breaks and social events at the conference. Sponsor names and logos will be featured on the NFF website, printed on conference literature and recognized throughout the conference. Please consider contributing to this unique and important event.
