OHP Adds Greenhouse Vegetables To Shuttle O Label

Production ornamental growers may now use Shuttle O Miticide from OHP on fruiting vegetables grown in greenhouses for control of a wide variety of mites. The new labeling allows for use on greenhouse-grown fruiting vegetables including eggplant, groundcherry, pepino, pepper, tomatillo and tomato.

“We are excited about the label expansion to include greenhouse vegetables,” says OHP Vice President and General Manager Terry Higgins. “With more ornamental operations growing vegetables or vegetable transplants, they now have another tool to fight mites.”

Shuttle O offers rapid knockdown of mites, Reduced Risk classification, activity on all life stages, long residual control, a unique mode of action and is soft on beneficial insects.

“With these features, Shuttle O is a product for today and tomorrow,” says Dan Stahl, OHP vice president of marketing and business development. “Its unique mode of action [MOA #20B] makes Shuttle O an ideal product for an IPM program.”

Shuttle O is effective on a wide range of mite species including two-spotted spider mites, spruce spider mites, citrus red mites, European red mites, Pacific spider mites and several others.

Shuttle O is not yet registered for the new use pattern in California and New York.
