OHP Launches New Biathlon Herbicide

OHP is now introducing Biathlon herbicide to growers in the ornamental market.
Biathlon controls grass and broadleaf weeds in field and container ornamentals, ground maintenance and other non-crop areas. It may also be used on evergreens and conifer trees, including Christmas trees and conifer farms.
The labeled rate is 100 pounds per acre with a maximum of two applications per acre per year. Re-applications may be made at three-month intervals.
“With the combination of two effective active ingredients and the Verge granule technology, Biathlon offers advantages over the competition,” says Jeff Dobbs, OHP director of technical services.
The Verge technology is a breakthrough manufacturing process that produces a low dust and uniform-sized granule for greater accuracy.
