Smart Signage Ideas From British Columbia Retailers
During the first week of February, a group of farm marketers from across North America gathered in British Columbia to attend a week-long mix of conferences and touring hosted by the farm marketing association, NAFDMA. Included in the tour stops were agritourism locations, vineyards, on-farm markets, farms, and garden centers.

We visited a turkey farm that also had a market store on its land (which was remarkable for having no odor). This mini-sign highlights what most customers would find compelling about the bread being sold.

Theft can be a problem, especially when garden retailers sell gift items and apparel with lots of nooks in the department. Minter Country Garden not only has security customers, it lets its customers know that they are running. This sign straddles that tricky line of warning thieves but not wanting to offend the majority of customers who are honest.
