Canadian Greenhouse Growers Discuss Climate Management Tips At Seminar

Priva Svensson Climate SeminarOn Tuesday, March 1, Svensson and Priva co-hosted a Sustainable Climate Management seminar in Leamington, ON, Canada. The seminar attracted more than 60 growers from Leamington and surrounding areas, all with interest in the latest climate management innovations and strategies for their growing operation.

“It was great to see so many growers turn out for the seminar; not only did it prove to be an educational event, it allowed growers to talk amongst peers facing similar industry challenges,” says Mike Marino, General Manager of Priva North America.

Hosts Svensson and Priva, together with guest speaker Laust Dam from Hot House Consulting, presented the latest technology and practices, highlighting sustainable climate management tips specifically for the Southern Ontario climate.

Svensson Climate Consultant Paul Arkesteijn discussed achieving an optimal climate using the latest screen technologies, including Svensson’s newest generation of Harmony screens, which take light diffusion to the next level. John van der Wilk, Priva’s Vice President of Business Development gave attendees a firsthand look at the latest climate control and process management solutions designed to maximize cultivation.

“The Leamington-Kingsville market plays an important role in the vegetable industry throughout North America, and by combining forces both companies show their strong commitment to helping growers produce efficiently,” says Mauricio Manotas, President of Ludvig Svensson, Inc.
