Greenhouse Short Course in March 2018 Features Focus on Technology

Be sure to mark your calendar for March 12-16, 2018 for the 17th Annual Greenhouse Crop Production & Engineering Design Short Course. The four-day conference, which takes place at the University of Arizona’s Controlled Environment Agriculture Center (CEAC), includes three full days of educational sessions, one day of hands-on training workshops at CEAC, and a commercial Arizona greenhouse tour.

The event features the latest expert information in research, production, and the bottom-line business of controlled environment agriculture, including the science, technology, and knowledge necessary to make a growing businesses improve.

Technology is one of the big topics that will be part of the discussion, with sessions covering:
• Greenhouse design, structures, and glazing
• Engineering a greenhouse structure for energy optimization
• Designing HVAC systems
• Evaluating LED technologies
• Emerging urban farming systems
• Sunlight and supplemental lighting applications
• Air uniformity in urban ag systems, and more.
