Green Valley Files For Bankruptcy

Green Valley Growers, Willis, Texas, has filed for Chapter 11 reorganization protection. The move comes after a bank did not renew Green Valley’s line of credit on March 6.

“We fully intent to use this period to reorganize and are continuing operations,” says Jim Hessler, Green Valley president. “We are selling, shipping, planting and planning for the future.”

Hessler says he has spoken with major customers and suppliers to inform them of the situation.

“In terms of the impact our customers should see, it should be business as usual,” he says. “Behind the scenes, of course, there’s a tremendous amount of additional work that everyone is going to be doing to be sure that we can satisfy the court and take great care of our customers.”

Green Valley Growers is No. 59 on the Top 100 Growers list. Read more about.

If we were not so addicted to credit, we would not have this over production problem. When will we learn that the only winners are the banksters who lend us air, then force us to repay with more air. Isn’t their a Law “Thou shalt not steal”???? But we all buy into the “credit” economy so this is no suprise.

If it weren’t for Gomer Pyle (Jim Hessler) and Boss Hogg (Wayne Massey) Green Valley would be one hell of a place to start a nursery!!!!

Hessler and Massey sank that nursery by driving away customers one by one. They repeatedly sent out failed product. Their motto regarding the poor quality was, “Throw it out there and see what sticks.” No one is surprised to see that GVG has tanked. Because of their shady business ethics, it was just a matter of time. More than any other, the blame sits squarely with Jim Hessler. He leaves a bad taste in the mouths of many in our industry.

Green Valley Growers operated under the impotent leadership of Jim Hessler and his disrespectful air of unprofessionalism. Hessler’s Green Valley thrived for a nano-second as he knowingly hired illegal aliens, delivered horrible products to commercial businesses, ignored numerous sexual harassment claims as his male employees continually sexually violated/fondled many female subordinates. Under Hessler, James, should be fired and Bertin’s should be deported along with the rest of the illegals who were moved to Masseys FM 1960 store. U cant run from Karma guys

I hope the Immigration shows up @ your store soon
