Meet Costa’s New R&D Director

Kate Santos has joined Costa Farms as its director of research and development. Santos recently completed her doctorate in environmental horticulture at the University of Florida and her bachelor’s of science in plant biology from the University of New Hampshire.

“Dr. Kate is one of the brightest new talents in our industry,” says Jose Smith, Costa Farms CEO and president. “She has the passion and technical knowledge to take our R&D efforts
to new heights. She’s an excellent addition to our growing team.”
 
Dr. Santos recently completed her doctorate in environmental horticulture at the University of Florida and her BS in plant biology from the University of New Hampshire.
 
In her new position, Santos will oversee research trials for new product development and implement new product and production protocols at Costa Farms.
