Rocket Farms, which we featured in a recent cover story, will be donating the profit for each pink orchid purchased on its Web site in October to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. The operation will be donating profits as part of its Think Passionately Pink campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“Everyone at Rocket Farms has a personal reason for taking part in this campaign,” says Marc Clark, vice president of Rocket Farms. “We want to do our own part in awareness and prevention.”
The orchids will be directly shipped from the greenhouse in a recyclable box and also available in a biodegradable rice hull pot. The orchids are planted in moss instead of bark, which helps retain moisture.
