Cleary Hosts Spanish-Speaking Educational Seminar

Cleary Chemical recently hosted a two-day education seminar on the proper handling and application of chemicals for Spanish-speaking greenhouse and nursery employees in Wimauma, Fla.

The seminars covered pesticide safety and diagnostics review of insect damage. The pesticide safety portion of the seminar detailed how to properly read product labels, what protective equipment to use when mixing, how to load and mix product and how to avoid spills and contamination.

A diagnostics review of insect damage provided information about the four or five most common insects in greenhouses and nurseries, insects that cause certain kinds of damage and signs of damage.

Besides the seminars, Cleary is already starting to translate the MSDS for all of its products into Spanish.

“At Cleary, we pride ourselves on not only being a supplier of superior products to the nursery and greenhouse industries, but also on being a comprehensive resource for information and a long-term partner with growers,” says Mary Ellen Warwick, Cleary president.
