Communicate Safety To Spanish-Speaking Workers

University OFA is encouraging Ohio growers to take advantage of free training sessions put on by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene Training Center. Next week, the three locations are Cleveland on Tuesday, Columbus on Wednesday and Cincinnati on Thursday.

The one-day class, "Communicating Safety to Your Spanish-Speaking Workforce," is for anyone who works with, supervises or directs Spanish-speaking employees and is responsible for safety education, injury reduction, training and communication. The instructor is Hector Escarcega, president of Bilingrual Solutions in Los Angeles, Calif. Participants will receive continuing education credits.
