The 2014 Farwest Trade Show in Portland, Ore., will present its popular New Products Showcase from August 21 to 23 featuring new industry products that will impact the greenhouse industry, saving money, time and labor. Items displayed offer solutions to improve profits, production practices and work place environment. Showcase entries are required to have been introduced within the last 18 months.
Stretching across 1,000 square feet, the New Products Showcase is a tried and true forum for green industry game-changers. Past submissions have worked their way into the mainstream of horticulture with revolutionary innovation. Notable entries from recent years run the gamut, including insecticides and herbicides, crop supports, plant identification products, irrigation equipment, automated harvesters, environmental controls/monitors, dilution equipment, shipping solutions and more. This year’s menu promises a range of opportunity for helping the greenhouse bottom line.
For interested attendees, all products point to their respective exhibitor where questions can be answered and orders placed right from the show floor.
“The New Products Showcase is the place to find the next innovation in greenhouse production and operation,” says Allan Niemi, director of events and education at the Oregon Association of Nurseries, producer of the Farwest Trade Show. “While we’re encouraging the greenhouse business person to visit, there’s crossover here for nursery and retail, too.”
Farwest offers a range of events and speakers that will focus on issues and ideas relevant to greenhouse producers of all types of plant material. Farwest will showcase the best and brightest of industry experts, innovative companies, first-time plant releases, new products, research, and continuing education.
