Greenhouse Grower To Produce Conference With SAF

The Society of American Florists (SAF) and Greenhouse Grower magazine announce a partnership to produce SAF’s annual Pest Management Conference. The 2009 conference, to be held February 19-21 in San Jose, Calif., will be the first one staged jointly by SAF and Greenhouse Grower.

"SAF growers and other members have attended this conference for years because the information exchanged is invaluable,” says SAF’s Peter Moran, executive vice president and CEO. “But spreading the word about it to the broader industry has always been a challenge. Greenhouse Grower’s reach and marketing capabilities will help expand awareness of the program so that more industry members can participate."

Bob West, group publisher for Greenhouse Grower, agrees.

“The synergy just makes sense," he says. "This is a very content-rich conference, and our publications reach the entire floriculture industry. Any time you bring together two groups with the expertise of SAF and Greenhouse Grower, it can only have a positive effect for the industry."

The 2009 Pest Management Conference, which will be its 25th, will once again feature educational sessions led by top experts in the field. The focus will be on the latest pest and disease control techniques.
