The University of Georgia will host an industry open house Wednesday, June 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Traditionally, the trials have provided firsthand landscape performance for plants under harsh conditions of heat and humidity in the Southeast. The garden has also become 90 percent sustainable, reducing inputs wherever possible.
Although the garden is open year round, the open house also offers:
• Guided tours and opinions from Dr. Allan Armitage;
• Colleagues to meet, greet and do business with;
• Lunch prepared by the folks of Ball Horticultural Company; and
• Ideas into sustainability
Donations to the garden are welcome. All donations are used for maintenance of the garden and hiring students.
