Who’s Your Momma?

Consumers have an even better reason to buy orchids for their moms for Mothers Day this year. Rocket Farms in Salinas, Calif., recently announced its "Who’s Your Momma" contest, inviting people to submit photos of their moms with an orchid somewhere in the picture.

The winner will receive an orchid delivered to his or her mother every month for the next year.

One example of a photo received is of Mary Hammond, Mill Valley, Calif., right.

"We love doing light-hearted promotions," says Marc Clark, executive vice president of Rocket Farms. "Everyone has fun and our orchids generate a lot of smiles from their recipients."

For retailers wishing to promote the contest, orchids are available from Rocket Farms by visiting www.rocketfarms.com. They’re sent air-freight in biodegradable boxes.
