Planting dates: Containers were planted the 13th of June most items were rooted between February 20 and March 20.

Number and type of entries: Our main trial this year was held indoors as a container trial. We had 920 varieties from 20 breeding companies grown in 12 inch patio pots with 4 plants per pot. Most varieties in trial were vegetatively propagated.

Our official trial event was on the 7th of August. We had just over 300 guests at our event with around 180 people voting on their top ten favorite plants. Ten poker chips were handed out to the attendees. The color of poker chips corresponded to their segment of the industry blue chips for breeder & breeding company personnel, red chips for retailer/garden center personnel and white chips were used for landscapers and other industry people.
