Finally, here is an an app about perennial and annuals that spans the gap between industry and the consumer. Dr. Allan Armitage, a world-renowned expert on annuals and perennials has sorted through the thousands of plants available and picks his favorites. Consumers can read why he chose them, and get growing tips to help them succeed.
App users can use the search feature to filter annuals or perennials and select sun, shade and USDA hardiness zones. Armitage provides a deer browsing rating for all plants as well as his top cultivars, based on what he has seen in his many travels. He also includes numerous photos and often a video to round out the information.

About Allan Armitage: Dr. Allan Armitage is well known as a writer, speaker and researcher throughout the world. He has evaluated garden plants in Montreal, Canada; East Lansing, Michigan, and Athens, Georgia, gaining an appreciation of plant development in the North and South. He holds his B.S from McGill University, Quebec, M.S. from University of Guelph, Ontario and his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Lansing.
