Anemone hupehensis ‘Pretty Lady Emily’ From Aris Horticultural Services

Like ‘Pretty Lady Diana,’ this fall-flowering Japanese anemone from Blooms of Bressingham has a dwarf habit that is naturally compact. It was bred by Yoshihiro Kanazawa in Japan and also has flower power, producing masses of 2-inch, double, light pink blooms. Reliable and sturdy, it’s a big improvement in garden and container performance over older, taller varieties. ‘Pretty Lady Emily’ prefers full sun to part shade and is hardy in Zones 5 to 9. In the garden, plants grow to 16 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Flowering height in containers is 18 inches. Plants prefer moist soils and will not tolerate long periods of dryness. Provide extra shade in very warm climates.
